Level2 has invested in DAIVIN, tankless dive gear

Leo Kankkunen, founder of DAIVIN, at Y Combinator

Remember the Star Wars scene where Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon slip tiny rebreathers behind their ears and disappear underwater? That moment always felt like science fiction. It isn’t anymore.

DAIVIN builds dive gear with no tank at all. The system uses electrolysis to pull oxygen straight from the surrounding water: no heavy tanks, no pressurized gas, no refill logistics. The whole thing fits in a shoebox and works anywhere there’s water.

DAIVIN was founded by Leo Kankkunen, a Finnish electrical engineer. He looked at a physical constraint that has shaped underwater exploration for decades and decided it was an engineering problem. Then he went and built the solution.

That’s the kind of founder we back. Welcome to the Level2 portfolio, DAIVIN.
